1963 was an eventful, healthy, happy year. It marked our move, after 23 years, from Evergreen Ave, Brooklyn to Woodhaven, Queens. 85-80 87th Street was to become our home for the next 26 years. The house had been built in 1904, so there was plenty to be repaired and put in order. The whole family was mobilized – Pop and Stephen with painting, our son-in-law, Jim, with electrical and carpentry and I with the garden. It was lots of work but we truly enjoyed it!

Frank graduated with honors from Parsons School of Design and got his first job with the Nassau Library System. Stephen’s pastel painting book was published and our third grandchild, Alan, was on the way.
